Department of Physical Education

Sports and games helps students improve their self-esteem, social skills, and confidence. It also teaches them about time management and discipline. Moreover, it can also be used as a career path or hobby. Besides, it helps students reduce stress and depression.

Valliammal College for Women has earned a glorious reputation as an institute who encourages an all-round development in both academics and sports of and individual. The aspiring and daring students of our college strive to transcend at all levels and bring laurels to our college. we, genuinely, thank those who were with us and supported on this adventurous journey that became a grand success. An array of inter-departmental activities and team events for students and for the staff were conducted to enhance one’s physical ability and talents. The events were a huge success helped massively by the cooperation of both the students and the staff.

Sports helps an individual much more than in the physical aspects alone. It builds character, teaches and develops strategic thinking, analytical thinking, leadership skills, goal setting, risk taking etc. In short, sports play a pivotal role in shaping the character and overall development of students.

Importance of sports in education cannot be overstated. At Valliammal College for Women, we are passionate about nurturing not just the minds but also the bodies and characters of our students through sports. We, at VCW, unanimously feel that it is important to upgrade and evolve to embrace student friendly approach to education, physical fitness, spiritual well-being and character development.
