    RULES AND REGULATIONS  
 
Prayer:
The tone of the college is set by the prayer which commenced at 8.45 a.m. on all working days. The student should attend the prayer compulsorily.
 
Payment of fees:
 
Students should pay their fees at TNSC Band, Anna Nagar in favour of the college from the second semester onwards.
Fee should be paid before the last day fixed by the college failing which their names will be struck off the rolls.
Fee once paid will not be refunded.
The management reserves the right to revise the fee at any point
If the student wants to leave the college during the first term due to unavoidable circumstances she has to pay the entire fee including the special fee for the whole year. If she leaves after the first term or before completing the course she has to pay the entire course fee.
 
Attendance
Attendance is compulsory on the reopening day and last working day of each semester. Students should attend classes regularly and punctually. Each student requires a minimum aggregate attendance of 85% to appear in the University examinations. Science students should have 85% attendance in the practical classes also. Condonation for deficiency of attendance will not be encouraged.
 
Attendance will be marked every hour and students are not permitted to leave the campus without the permission of the Principal.
 
Leave of absence
Application for leave of absence duly signed by Parent/Guardian should be submitted to the Head of the Department well in advance. Under unforeseen circumstance the leave letter should be produced the next day. Leave availed on medical grounds should be accompanied by the Medical Certificate.
 
Identify Card:
Students should put on the Identity Card at all times inside the campus.
 
Dress Code:
Students must dress modestly in Churidhars (Sleevd long top with Dupatta) or in sarees with sleeve blouse. Student must wear Sarees on Friday.
 
Tests and Examinations:
The college conducts end semester examination apart from the monthly test. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who resort to malpractices during examinations and who absent themselves for the same.
 
Laboratory
All possible caution should be exercised while handling the Laboratory equipments, Chemicals, Computers etc. Any breakage or damage should be reported to the staff concerned immediately. Breakage fines both for the individual student and for the class will be collected at the end of each academic year.
 
Bonafide Certificate
Student can forward the application for Bonafide Certificate to the Principal through the respective tutors. Bonafide Certificate will be issued within 3 days from the date of request.
 
Mobile Phones:
Students should not use Mobile Phones inside the campus. Failing to adhere to the same will be dealt seriously.
 
Transfer Certificate
Students who wish to take Transfer Certificate in the middle of the course will have to give an application in writing with the consent of parents to the Principal. Transfer Certificates will be issued only after 15 days from the date of requisition. Students should come personally and sign the register concerned while receiving the T.C.
 
If the students do not adhere to the rules and regulations of the college, Transfer Certificate will be issued.
 
Co-curricular Activity
Physical education is compulsory for the I and II year students. Students who complete minimum attendance of 40 hrs in a year will get a credit. Facilities are offered to encourage students to take part in various outdoor /indoor events, track and field events. A full time physical directress assists the students in sports and games.
 
The college has Youth Red Cross Unit, NSS Unit, Rotaract Club, Red Ribbon Club, and Leo Club. Students can enroll themselves in any one of the units for earning a credit.
 
Note to Parents:
 
Parents should see that their wards attend classes regularly and appear for all the tests and examinations without fail.
Slackness in studies will be taken to the notice of parents or guardian as and when required.
Parents/Guardians are advised to keep in rouch with the principal once in a month.
Students should have a minimum of 85% attendance to take up the University Examinations, failing which they will have to pay a Condonation Fee as prescribed by the University.
Parents may contact the Principal on any issue concerning their wards on all working days between 12.00 noon-2.00p.m.
 
Information Regarding Ragging:
Ragging is banned in the college. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel the student from the institution.
 
Following Act of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly received the assent of the Governor on the 14th February 1997 and is hereby published for general information.
 
Act No.7 of 1997: Whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational intuition shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to Ten Thousand Rupees.
 
An Act of prohibiting ragging in educational institutions in the State of Tamil Nadu in the forty eighth years of Republic of India is as follows.
